I Eat Hearts

Knew that would get ya.

I love eating artichoke hearts. They are a good (albeit morbid) way to commemorate the day of hearts. Of course, I also like to celebrate by giving and getting Valentines!
Last night I watched the opening ceremony for the Vancouver Olympics, and WOW!! I was blown away. My favorite parts were the commemorative trapeze act for the Georgian luger who died in practice, and the wild tap dancing fiddlers in their funky kilts and spark-throwing shoes. I'm not huge on sports, but I do want to see the skiing and snowboarding. I'd like to see that fabled double-cork that Shaun White is working on. Anyway, have a Happy Valentine's Day and enjoy the snowy show!

It's funny we just watched a Bizarre Foods in Sicily and they were having an artichoke festival. Everything was made from artichokes including the ice cream! You could almost smell the coal roasted heats. Did you know they are a thistle? Anyhow, I love them too.

I'm sad that I couldn't watch the ceremony, but maybe it will be on YouTube soon. I really love the figure skating and snowboarding. It's ironic for once it's actually a drivable distance, and the winter sports (Which is always better) and we didn't go:(
